Wasaidie askari wanaolinda mfumo-ikolojia wa Serengeti.
Each year we allocate 30% of the participation fees, after operating costs, to conservation activities that protect the Serengeti: patrol equipment for game rangers working tirelessly to prevent illegal hunting. We provide it to Serengeti National Park (SENAPA), TAWA (managing Ikorongo and Grumeti Game Reserves) and the Ikona WMA.
Rangers need: flashlights/torches, rain jackets, jungle boots, first-aid boxes, GPS units, backpacks, uniforms, patrol cars and training.
Support is also needed for Village Game Scout (VGS) groups - volunteers who mitigate human-wildlife conflict with elephants, hyenas, lions and other animals that destroy crops, kill livestock and sometimes injure people. They need torches, rain jackets, uniforms, radio communication, motorcycles and training in wildlife behaviour.
